Help shape suicide and self-harm prevention guidance for Further Education in Wales (October 26 - January 2027)
Sharon Jones (Wiste Consulting) and Professor Andrew Rogers are working in partnership to develop suicide and self-harm prevention guidance and a training framework for Further Education in Wales. The project is commissioned by ColegauCymru with funding from Medr.
We want to build on the expertise, experiences and good practice already established across the sector to develop practical, evidence-informed resources that support a whole-college approach to prevention, early intervention and response.
Your views and experiences are important in shaping this work. We welcome contributions from FE staff, learners, learner representatives, specialist organisations and other stakeholders with an interest in learner wellbeing, safeguarding and suicide prevention. If you have examples of effective practice, existing resources to share, challenges to highlight or suggestions for what the guidance and training should include, we would value your input.
